Engines for a better future

 The General Electric (GE) GE9X engine represents a significant technological advancement over the older GE90 model, boasting its larger size, improved fuel efficiency, and environmentally friendly features. According to General Electric (n.d)1​​, this engine is the biggest and strongest one for commercial planes, and it's made for the Boeing 777X series. It's 10% better in saving fuel compared to the GE90, thanks to advanced technology like new fan blades and 3D-printed parts.

 

This engine has bigger fans that makes it work better and stronger than the GE90 (General Electric, n.d)2​​. Additionally, it's great for the environment because it cuts down on CO2 and noise. The GE9X is made with lighter materials that can handle heat well, which means it performs exceptionally well and is reliable. GE and Boeing (n.d)2,3​​​​ states that even though the GE90 was great in its time, the GE9X is changing the game with its awesome technology and efficiency.
